Iulian Fota
PhD.Iulian Fota is Secretary of State for Strategic Affairs, with a career in public service of over 25 years. With both political or parliamentary and governmental experience, Iulian Fota has held various important responsibilities in areas such as foreign policy, armed defence, military diplomacy and national security.
George SCUTARU
George Scutaru graduated from the Faculty of History at the University of Bucharest and holds a Master’s degree in International Relations. He also graduated from the National Defence College and the National Intelligence College and attended courses and training programs at the NATO College in Rome, the G.C. Marshall European Centre for Security Studies and the US State Department. George SCUTARU is one of the founders and CEO of the New Strategy Center. He began his professional career in journalism, as editor of a news agency, then press correspondent in Moscow, before becoming managing director of a media monitoring and consulting agency. From 2004 to 2014 he was a member of the Romanian Parliament, in the Chamber of Deputies. Between 2014 and 2015 he was national security advisor to the President of Romania.
Radu TUDOR
Over 30 years of experience in the media as a TV presenter and military analyst, editorialist and radio collaborator. Moderator and guest at several events on institutions, forums and NGOs for defence, security, intelligence and foreign affairs: NATO, SHAPE, Aspen Institute, Marshal and others.
Awarded in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2014 and 2015 by the Association of Romanian Television Professionals (APTR).
Radu Tudor has been Jane’s Defence Weekly orrespondent in Romania since 2000. He is the author of 4 books on defence, security, foreign affairs and politics.
Stefan DĂNILĂ
Ștefan Dănilă, General(r), PhD. is the first Air Force General to be appointed as Chief of the General Staff (current Defence Staff) from 2011-2015. He was a pilot of supersonic fighter jets, MiG-21 and MiG-21 LanceR, but ended his career as a pilot on C-130 transport aircraft as he was appointed commander of the 90th Airlift Base in 2008. He has commanded two air bases and has a wealth of experience in leading military organisations from tactical to strategic level. Without any political commitment, he was advisor to the Prime Minister and the Minister of National Defence until 2017. Since 2009 he has been a PhD in Military Science, with the paper “Air Security in the Context of Globalization”, a work published, for the most part, by the Military Publishing House in 2017 under the title “Air Security Management”. He has lectured and lectures as an expert in the field of international security institutions, balance of power dynamics and peace and war issues.

Brigadier General (Rz) PhD Mircea MÎNDRESCU is a member of the Scientific Council of the New Strategy Centre, Bucharest, and Associate Professor at the National College of Internal Affairs, “Alexandru Ioan Cuza” Police Academy, Bucharest. Previously he was Chairman of the Executive Academic Board of the European Security and Defence College, Brussels, Belgium, Director of the Directorate of Strategic Planning (J5) – General Staff of the Romanian Armed Forces, Commander of the NATO Joint Lesson Learning and Analysis Centre, Lisbon, Portugal, and member of the Command Team of the Allied Command for Transformation (NATO Strategic Command).

Jahara “FRANKY” Matisek
Lieutenant Colonel Jahara “FRANKY” Matisek, PhD, is a military professor in the Department of National Security Affairs at the U.S. Naval War College, a 2023 Non-Resident Scholar with the Irregular Warfare Initiative (a joint production of the Princeton Conflict Empirical Studies Project and the Institute of Modern Warfare at West Point), and a U.S. Department of Defense Minerva Fellow. Lieutenant Colonel Matisek has published over 80 articles and essays in peer-reviewed journals and policy-relevant publications on strategy, warfare, and security assistance.
Georgios Giannoulis
Georgios Giannoulis is Deputy Director for IOC Vulnerability and Resilience at Hybrid CoE, managing the maritime hybrid threat portfolio and is an expert on energy-related topics. Georgios is an engineer captain in the Hellenic Navy with over 10 years of experience serving on board submarines and frigates. Georgios is a graduate of the Hellenic Naval War College and the Supreme Joint War College. In addition, he holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering and applied mathematics from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, USA.
